In 2019/21, KPS achieved their fifth Green Flag award. This was achieved by looking at waste minimisation round the school, undertaking various activities such as a no waste tuck shop at break times. This was a sustainable enterprise project which we hope to run again when restrictions are removed due to Covid-19.
Our next goal is to try to reduce the carbon footprint of the school, this is in line with the Global Goals and also to coincide with the major climate summit COP26 happening in Glasgow this year.
Our ECO council is not just about protecting our environment but the wider targets of the Global Goals, helping us to achieve a more sustainable way for living for the whole planet.
